Acid Rain

Rain falls, drawing tears like acid on the limestone dolmens; weeping mist of drops sliding to the gorund in an elegant grace. Clouds hang low, touchable, omnipresent. The haze glows from all directions, independent of the sun.

Standing, distanced, I am withdrawn.

\'Let me in!\' I cry silently in my head.

\'Let me out.\' I whimper.

But I am lost inside the fog of my memories, and this is not my reality, just one dearly wished. Past memories haunt the corners of my subconscious, wrapping verdant tendrils into my soul, crumbling my defensive walls. My thoughts go sliding into a miasma of forgotten lives

as rain draws tears like acid down my face.
