The sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the endless dunes of the desert. The air grew cool, and the wind carried with it the scent of sand and the distant call of a lone bird. Ahmad stepped forward, his hand reaching for his knife. "I won't let you take her. She's mine."
